Craft Ideas for Genesis 2 and God Created Man and Woman
God made all people, males and females, and designed us to support one another. We are not meant to be alone, but are made for relationships. We see this demonstrated in Genesis 2, where God created Adam and Eve.
These crafts celebrate the events of the passage. “Male and Female Puppets” remind us of how God created men and women. A “Fit Together Puzzle” honors how we are designed relationally. Let’s get crafty!
Bible Crafts on Made for Relationships Genesis 2
Craft one: “Made Male and Female” Puppets You will need:
Design two paper bag puppets, one to be a man and one to be a woman.
Draw faces or add features to create faces and hair.
Add clothes to the puppets using paper, fabric, or just coloring utensils.
Add verses and captions directly on or attached to the puppets.
Use the puppets to act out Bible stories, and remember that God made male and female!
Craft Two: “Fit Together Puzzle”
You will need:
Markers or crayons
Construction paper or cardstock
Glue or tape
Scissors
Cardboard (optional)
Envelope or decorated bag (optional)
Extra decorations (stickers, glitter, etc.)
Procedure:
Decorate the paper to be a special card for a friend or loved one. Draw pictures and write messages as desired.
Add extra decorations and Bible verses to the paper and/or envelope or bag.
Glue the paper to a piece of thin cardboard. Alternatively, use thick cardstock instead of regular paper when designing the card.
Carefully cut the finished picture into pieces so that they fit together like a puzzle, making pieces larger or smaller depending on desired difficulty level.
Place the puzzle card in the envelope or bag to give as a gift to someone special.
