Craft Activities for Children: Jesus met a Rich Young Man (Mark 10:17-31)

Craft Ideas for Mark 10, Possession and the Kingdom

How can we focus on the most important things? In the focus passage for this lesson, Jesus met a rich young man who thought he could save himself, and was unwilling to part with his earthly possessions.

These crafts encourage children to contemplate the most important things in life and think about what it means to put Jesus first. A coin bank provides a tool to save and give away money for others. A “Camel Ring Toss” recalls the story with a fun game. Let’s get crafty!

Bible Verses or Captions to Consider… (Mark 10:17-31 )

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” -Mark 10:25

And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, “Then who can be saved?” 27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” -Mark 10:26-27

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” -Mark 10:31

A camel won’t fit through a needle…But I can be saved through Christ!

Give your treasure…see what God can do!

Let it go and let God take it!

Can it fit??
