Craft Activities for Children: Israel’s only Savior (Isaiah 43:1-7)
This lesson focuses on Isaiah 43 and reminds us that God is always with us, through good times and hardships. He made us and knows us, and guides us through all things. A “Lifesaver Poster” reflects on how God preserves and protects us, and leads us when we pass through the “waters” of trials. A “Held in His Hand” sign recalls that God calls us by name and holds us in His care. Let’s get crafty!
Craft Activities for Children Isaiah 43 God is our Comfort
Decorate the main “life preserver” (paper plate or wire ring), adding paper and pipe cleaners as necessary.
On a background accompanying paper, place lifesaver candies with tape or glue.
Add verses and captions to the paper, along with extra decorations as desired.
Attach the paper to the ring, if possible, or add a hanger if preferred. Hang or display as a reminder of how God saves and holds us through the “waters” of challenges.
Craft Two: “Held in His Hand” Sign You will need:
Construction paper or cardstock
Glue or tape
Markers or crayons
Scissors
Procedure:
Trace hand onto paper or cardstock.
Add verses and captions to the “fingers” of the hand, and place a name in the center of the palm.
Cut the hand out (if desired for extra “pop”), and glue onto another piece of paper.
Add extra decorations, captions, and hangers, if desired. Use the decoration to recall how God calls us by name and holds us in His hand.
Bible Verses or Captions to Consider… (Isaiah 43:1-7)
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. -Isaiah 43:1
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. -Isaiah 43:2
God holds me in His hand!
God is always with us! He walks with us through the “rough waters” of life!
