What’s in the free Valentine worksheets pack
- Four puzzles for ages 6 to 12: a maze, find the differences, color by code and a heart connect the dots. Each comes at Level 1 and Challenge.
- Four Bible story coloring pages for ages 6 to 12, each with its big idea and Bible reference
- Answer keys for every puzzle, both levels (pages 18 to 21)
- Eight preschool pages for ages 3 to 5: a coloring page and an activity sheet each week (pages 22 to 29)
- The four Bible stories in plain words on one page, so a helper can retell each one in a minute (page 5)
- A printing plan with page numbers for four Sundays, one Valentine Sunday, and quiet pages (page 4)
The pages are the student handouts from Be Mine, a four-week Sunday school series on God’s love from The Sunday School Store. Three people on the store team made and tested them. Lily, the team’s page tester, colored and solved every page by hand before it was shared. Her hands are on the cover of the pack. Each puzzle page ends with a “Keep Talking” question for a teacher or parent to ask.
Valentine Sunday school worksheets, week by week
Each week is one Bible story, and all four lead to the same verse: “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19, BSB). Read the passage from your Bible, then hand out the pages.
Week 1: Kindness can change everything (2 Kings 5:1-14)
Big idea: God’s kindness reaches even an enemy. A servant girl is kind to Naaman, an army commander from another country. Puzzle: a maze. Level 1 is for younger children. The Challenge has many wrong turns, so hand out pencils with erasers. Preschool: count the hearts in each row. Print: pages 6 to 8, and 22 and 23.
Week 2: Love makes room for everyone (Luke 14:12-14)
Big idea: Jesus has room for people who can never pay Him back. Puzzle: find the differences between two pictures. Level 1 works for any child. The Challenge is for sharp-eyed kids, whatever their reading level. Preschool: draw a line to match the pictures that are the same. Print: pages 9 to 11, and 24 and 25.
Week 3: Real love puts others first (Philippians 2:1-11)
Big idea: Jesus is King, yet He came as a servant. Puzzle: color by code. Level 1 needs no reading. In the Challenge, kids read and answer five story questions. Preschool: find and circle 5 hearts. Print: pages 12 to 14, and 26 and 27.
Week 4: God’s love never quits (Hosea 1-3)
Big idea: God keeps loving His people, even when they walk away. Puzzle: a heart connect the dots. Level 1 is for children who can count to 20. The Challenge is for children who can count by 2s. Preschool: circle the picture that happened first. For this age, tell it in three short lines: Hosea’s wife went away. Hosea still loved her, so he went and brought her home. God never stops loving you. Print: pages 15 to 17, and 28 and 29.
How to run Valentine puzzles in a small, mixed-age class
Every page in the pack tells the same story at a different level. That lets one teacher run one lesson for a 4-year-old and an 11-year-old at the same table.
- Tell one story to everyone. Read the week’s passage once, out loud, with the whole group together.
- Hand out pages by level, not by age. Give the Challenge puzzle to kids who read well. Give Level 1 to early readers. Give the preschool sheets to children who don’t read yet.
- Keep a coloring page ready for early finishers. The coloring page for the week works for every age.
- Use the puzzles as seatwork. They also work as early-finisher pages in a Christian school or homeschool day.
- Close with one question. Ask the “Keep Talking” question from the bottom of the puzzle page, like “When you mess up, how does it help to know God still loves you?” Preschool sheets have their own “Ask me” question.
- Check answers fast. The answer keys on pages 18 to 21 show both levels of each puzzle.
I think experiencing the love of Jesus means having a teacher that cares about you enough to open their Bible.

What to print for your Valentine Sunday school class
Page 4 of the PDF has three lists with page numbers filled in. Pick the one that fits your calendar.
- Four Sundays. One story a week, in order. For ages 6 to 12, print three pages a week: the coloring page and both puzzle levels. For ages 3 to 5, print two pages a week.
- One Valentine Sunday. Use Week 4, “God’s love never quits.” Print pages 15 to 17 for ages 6 to 12 and pages 28 and 29 for ages 3 to 5. Want a lighter Sunday? Use Week 1 instead, pages 6 to 8 and pages 22 and 23.
- Quiet pages. For the church service or early finishers, print pages 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 15 and 16 for ages 6 to 12, and pages 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28 for ages 3 to 5. Staple a few together with a pencil and some crayons.
Printing tip: print on plain letter paper. Print the preschool activity sheets in color if you can. Print the answer keys once for the teacher, not for every child. No scissors or glue needed.

Questions about these Valentine worksheets
Can I copy these for my whole class?
Yes. Print as many copies as your church, classroom, homeschool or family needs. Please don’t sell the pages or post the file on another site. Link to this page instead.
Do I need the full curriculum to use the pages?
No. Every Kids page and every preschool coloring page shows its Bible reference, so you can teach straight from your Bible. The coloring pages and Level 1 puzzles work even for a child who doesn’t know the story yet. The Challenge puzzles are easier after you tell it.
What ages are the worksheets for?
The Kids pages are for ages 6 to 12, at Level 1 and Challenge. The preschool pages are for ages 3 to 5 and need no reading.
The whole Be Mine series
These pages are the student handouts from Be Mine, a four-week Sunday school curriculum on God’s love. The full series adds what a teacher needs each Sunday: a Bible story to read aloud, discussion questions and prayer, a game, an object lesson, a craft every week, a parent take-home page and a memory verse poster. It comes in Kids (ages 6 to 12) and Preschool (ages 3 to 5) editions, and the Kids edition has a free Week 1 lesson you can try first. Be Mine is also included in the All-Access Pass, with every series in the store.
